Scene 8

Mike: "Look, I'm sorry. I just can't stay here."

Diana: "Mike, you know you can't go back in there."



Mike: "I'm not going to do anything crazy. I just want to be by my grandmother." [He leaves. Phillip closes the door.]



Diana: "Why are you here?"



Phillip: "Kai called and told me what happened. I'm really sorry things didn't work out for your and your friends. I did the work you asked me to do."

Diana: "And I appreciate it."



Phillip: "But I could've done so much more if you'd just called me sooner! Before the situation got out of control!"

Diana: "I can't help feeling that you know more about this than you're letting on."



Phillip: "My only concern is you. I wish you could trust me with that."

Diana: "I haven't been able to trust you for a very long time."

Diana: "Let me go!"

Phillip: "Don't be a fool, those were gunshots! You could get hurt!"
