August 5, 2003:
Tad and Liza search for Greenlee.

[At Greenlee's. Simone and Mia come in.]

Simone: Oh, dear Lord, what happened?

Tad: We just left you a message.

Simone: Where is she?

Liza: We don't know. That's why we called you.

Simone: Oh, my God. Okay, burnt photographs -- what, this is another sad moment out of her tragic life? She's really taking this whole, you know, drama queen thing to a new level.

Mia: She's probably just trying to impress Juan Pablo.

Liza: No, no, no, no, no. This is serious guys. Greenlee found out that her real father is Jackson Montgomery.

Simone: Her real father?

Tad: Yeah. Mary's managed to keep it a secret until now.

Mia: Oh, my God. Poor Greenlee. She must be in shock.

Tad: Well, she's taken off. We think it's a good idea to find her before she does something she can't take back.

[Kendall arrives.]

Kendall: Where's Greenlee? What's going on?

Mia: She burned and ran.

Kendall: Oh, my God, what happened? What happened?

Liza: Well, Kendall, you can see what kind of shape she's in. That's why we're worried about her.

[Kendall, Mia, and Simone argue about Erica.]

[Kendall, Mia, and Simone are still arguing. Tad and Liza have settled on a couch, watching them.]

Tad: [Gets up.] Hey, guys, if we start arguing about Erica, we're going to be here all night, okay?

Liza: Yeah, come on, we've just got to find Greenlee.

Simone: That's right, we do.

Tad: I think we should start with that Argentinian cheek-kisser, Don Carlos de Huevos Rancheros, [looks at Liza] whatever his name is.

Simone: Damn.

Mia: He's right.

Simone: Yeah, I don't know, she's probably, you know, crying on his shoulder right now.

Mia: Of course.

Kendall: Wait a minute, what? Don who? What Argentinian?

Liza: [Looks at Tad.] His name is Juan Pablo.

Simone: Yes, our mystery man.

Liza: Our Latin lover slash savior. He's the same guy.

[Simone and Mia tell Kendall about Juan Pablo. They talk about the bet.]

Tad: You guys are all heart.

Mia: It's not that we're not concerned about her, it's just that we can't let her win the bet.

Simone: Yes.

Tad: [To Liza.] It's like working with a flock of chickens.

Liza: Hmm.

Tad: Come, let's just canvass the places that we already know she's been to, okay? [He puts post-its on Mia and Smione's shoulders.] If anything happens just call me on your cell phones.

Mia: Ow!

Tad: Come on, go. [Mia and Simone leave.] Here, this is for you. [He places a post-it on Kendall's arm.] Liza, do me a favor, okay? Just man the phone, all right?

Liza: Yeah.

[Tad leaves.]

[Liza, Simone, and Mia are back at Greenlee's. Tad comes in.]

Tad: Anything?

Simone: Nothing.

Mia: Nada.

Liza: You?

Tad: Nobody's seen her at the Pit or SOS.

Liza: Well, but that's good news. [They hear the elevator opening.] Oh, maybe that's Kendall. Maybe she found something.

[Jackson comes in.]

Jackson: Did Greenlee do this?

Tad: It's not as bad as it looks, Jack.

Liza: Greenlee wasn't here. I mean, there's no reason to believe that she was hurt.

Mia: We're so sorry.

Simone: We've been out looking for her.

Mia: Yeah.

Tad: So far we haven't come up with anything. We just started. We're also looking for a guy named Juan Pablo. We think she might be with him, but we don't know how to track him down.

[Kendall comes in.]

Kendall: Jack, Jack. Did you go to Erica? [Liza signals her to stop.]

Jackson: No, please, don't. Please, please.

Kendall: Jack, you can't be mad at her. I understand she made a mistake, but you have to know that she loves you and --

Jackson: [Sighs.] Juan Pablo. Who the Hell is Juan Pablo?

Tad: He's new in town. She's been out with him a couple of times.

Liza: He's a businessman. We've all met him. He's on the level. [She shares a look with Tad.]

Jackson: My God, what a terrible day. It was supposed to be the happiest day of my life. Who would have thought it would turn out like this?

Jackson: [Holding a photo of a young Greenlee.] My God, she looks so much like my sister Christine here.

Liza: You know, for what it's worth, Jack, the consensus was that she was a very lucky girl.

Jackson: I have to find her.

Tad: I just spoke to Anna Devane. They're going to set up a police search without waiting for 24 hours.

Jackson: Thank you. Thank you very much.

Tad: They're going to treat it as if she were a member of a cop's family. Apparently they think of you as one of them.

Jackson: Well, I doubt very much that that's the way Greenlee thinks of me tonight.
