Fowl Play
If the Perdue company needs an actor for its next
commerical, perhaps they should call upon Michael E.
Knight (Tad), who - after one particularly long day at
work - invented his own version of the chicken dance.
"Whenever you do weddings or parties on the show,
things can run until two or three o'clock in the
morning," he explains. "You have six lines... and then
wait another three hours for your next three lines.
[One time], we were doing something at the Chandler
mansion and nobody was getting along. Marcy [Walker,
Liza] finally said to me at about 11 o'clock at night,
'Don't you feel like we're a flock of chickens pecking
each other's eyes out?'" Taking that as his cue,
Knight says he made it his mission to make Walker
laugh at every opportunity he could. "I would wait
until she was ready to say her lines, then I would be
in the background doing [a chicken imitation]."
