![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Will Knight jump ship to CBS? With Michael E. Knight's (Tad) All My Children contract expiring in October, rival soaps Guiding Light and As the World Turns are rumored to be eyeing the popular actor as AMC dangles a big new story to keep him. In the story planned for the fall, Tad's stepson, JR, will return to Pine Valley with a huge surprise that will throw the Martin family into an often comic uproar, and affect Tad and Liza's relationship. "They have this wonderful friendship," says head writer Megan McTavish. "They are both reluctant, for various reasons that will be delineated, to take it further, even though they are both attracted. I wouldn't say they have been a great love, but I would say there was always sexual chemistry there. This is a big story that involves Adam, Liza, Brooke, Tad, Jamie, JR, and this surprise." Insiders predict that in the end, the loyal Knight will re-sign. A spokesperson for AMC says the show doesn't comment on contracts. A rep for P&G says, "No Comment." |
